I had known
that
you loved me
and
truly cared
for
my invisible tears
If
I had known
that
you took pride in me,
in
the little steps of mine
that
had never been easy
If
I had known
that
you caressed my cheeks
and
said a silent prayer
when
I was fast asleep
If
I had known
that
I was dear to you
when
you didn't seem to notice
as
I hugged you tight
If
I had known
that
you would be by my side
when
things go wrong
or
on a very bad day
If
I had known
that
you wished only the best
as
you angrily spat out
the
nastiest of words
If
only I had known!
But
how would I know
about
words unspoken,
of
unexpressed love?
Whose love?? Mysterious poem.. I need answer.. :D
